Football Tips Saturday 4th May
The final week of the English Football League season and for many clubs there is still much to play for. It’s a weekend of staggered kick off times. League Two kick off at 3pm Saturday, League One 5.30pm Saturday and the Championship 12.30pm Sunday. Add to that Premier League games over the two days so it’s a busy one. It’s been an up and down season from a tipping point of view as we go in to the weekend with 358 point deficit. Hopefully most of you have offset that with the 14/1 Leyton Orient tip who completed their National League triumph last week. I will be working hard throughout the summer to ensure next season is a profitable one and to see whether to change the format of tips as we have got one successful leg of double on many occasions only to be let down by the other half. Next season I may look at more singles with a differing value of points depending on confidence.

Saturday 5.30 pm Crystal Palace Away at Cardiff 9/5 Saturday 3.00 pm Newport Away at Morecambe 23/20
On the face of it many will think Cardiff will win this must win game for them in their slim hope of avoiding relegation. Palace are a much more dangerous side away from home when they can soak up pressure and hit sides of the break. Remember this side won at Manchester City in the league earlier in the season. They have won four out of their last five away league games. Cardiff May succumb under the pressure of knowing they have to win whilst Palace can relax, therefore I feel the 9/5 on the Away Win is a decent price.
Newport County travel to Morecambe knowing a win could still take them into the League Two promotion play offs. They beat Oldham comfortably midweek to give themselves this opportunity. Morecambe find themselves in 18th position, safe from relegation but it’s been a poor season. Motivation should all be with the Away side so I take them to snatch an away victory.

Football Tips Saturday 27th April
We approach the crunch phase of the season as titles, promotion, play off places and relegation spots are all decided. This does lead to a few dead fixtures with neither side playing for anything and for some it will be a chance to blood younger players for the future. This just adds to the difficulty of football tipping. Last week we drew a blank I’m afraid so are 338 points down on the season. One bit of news though is that pre season tip at 14/1 Leyton Orient should clinch the National League Title on Saturday just requiring a draw from a home game which they should win. Even if they get beat then other results would have to go against them for them not to win the title.
This weeks double involved two games where all four teams are playing for something therefore the odds are better than they would have been if only one side in each fixture had an incentive to win.

Peterborough Away at Walsall 7/5
MK Dons Away at Colchester 17/10
Peterborough are battling to gain the last play off place in League One, this is a must win game. They travel to Walsall who are one from the bottom in the table and look likely to be relegated. Most clubs show a reaction when battling relegation Walsall are the exception. Internal disputes, sacked managers and players bickering seem to have resigned the club to League two football. Peterborough are unbeaten in five and had good draw with Sunderland last weekend. This makes the 7/5 on the Away victory good value.
MK Dons are battling for an automatic promotion spot in League Two and simply have to keep winning games. On Saturday they travel to Colchester who are in the hunt for the last play off place. Colchester have not been convincing recently having lost two of their last three home games and scraping a draw with struggling Yeovil away last weekend.MK Dons have won two of their last three away games including a win at fellow promotion hopefuls Forest Green Rovers. Therefore I think the 17/10 on the Away Win is worth a bet.

Football Tips Good Friday - 19th April
From Friday we have four solid days of football, with the Football League divisions taking centre stage on Friday and Bank Holiday Monday. The Premier League is spread over Saturday and Sunday. Therefore I will have tips for Friday and more later in the weekend for Monday’s games. Last weeks double failed miserably with In form Swansea getting hammered at QPR which was their first win in 8 games!! There will be lots of tips each day on Twitter @wellworthawager so Please follow me on there.

1pm Charlton Away at Oxford 13/8
3pm Cheltenham Home vs Oldham 6/4
Charlton have to keep winning to maintain their chances of automatic promotion and come into this game on the back of beating League leaders Luton last weekend. Oxford played out a bore nil nil draw with strugglers AFC Wimbledon and recent form suggests the 13/8 on the Away victory is good value. In League Two Cheltenham boost a fine home record against a team who are three places above them in the table in 13th. Cheltenham have only lost one in six games and I take them to edge Oldham out with home advantage crucial.
Football Tips Saturday 13th April
It was nice to get a long overdue winning week on the board last weekend. This was thanks to Aston Villa’s late goals at Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea’s comfortable success. Our 20 point Double returned 117 points. This takes the deficit down to 318 on the season. Let’s hope the luck has now turned and we have a great run in until the end of the season. We are getting to that time of the season where teams fighting relegation seem to get better results than teams safe in mid table. Readings surprise draw at Championship leaders Norwich showed how a team facing relegation is fighting hard.
Recommended Bet 20 point Double best priced at William Hills returns 108 points
Swansea Away at QPR 7/5
Morecambe Home vs Grimsby 5/4
Swansea are in a rich vein of form in the championship at the moment beating all in their way. They must be frustrated this has come too late in the season to get into the play offs. They play attacking possession football and I can see them passing a poor QPR side off the park here. Recently the home side have been poor culminating in Steve Mclarens dismissal as boss. Since then they were abject at Norwich and scraped a goalless draw at Millwall.
Morecambes home form should see them get the better of Grimsby on Saturday. They have beat Crawley, Mk Dons and Forest Green in their last three home outings. They still need points to guarantee League Two safety so will see this as a big opportunity to going towards doing this. Grimsby haven’t won in six games and struggle for goals so everything points towards a home win here.

Football Tips Saturday 6th April
Another crunch week for Premier League and Football League clubs in the chase for titles and promotion. Whilst at the other end lots of clubs are fighting relegation. Add to that FA Cup semi finals this weekend then there is plenty of viewing and plenty of betting opportunities to be had. Big weekend of sport with the Grand National , Boat Race and the continuing Indian Premier League Cricket. So if I was you I’d get the beers and take aways in and not move far from your TV screen. As is becoming the trend one half of last weeks Double cruised in and the other got beat. Hoping the pre season recommendations suck as Leeds and Leyton Orient will help comfort the deficit at the moment.
Recommended 20 points Double. Best price Betfair pays over 117 points
Aston Villa Away at Sheffield Wednesday 7/5 Swansea City Home vs Middlesbrough 29/20
I am looking for two form sides in the Championship on Saturday to give us a winning double. Aston Villa have had a great last month and now find themselves in a play off position. They have recently beaten fellow play off hopefuls Derby and Middlesbrough. This week they travel to former boss Steve Bruce’s Sheffield Wednesday who themselves have an outside chance of a play off place. Sheffield Wednesday have become tighter at the back under Bruce but think Villa will have too much for the Wednesday defence and at 7/5 are a good price to keep their run going.
Swansea come into this game on the back of a convincing home win over Brentford midweek and have improved in recent weeks. The pace of young Welsh sensation Daniel James is impressing many clubs at higher levels. Here they face a Middlesborough team who after five successive defeats have slipped out of a play off place and the majority of the fans have turned against boss Tony Pullis. It will get no easier in Wales as Swansea look to continue their good form.

Football Tips Saturday 30th March
After a week away I return attempting to eat in to the seasons deficit. It’s good to have some league fixtures back after the International break where betting opportunities were limited due to the restrictive prices on offer. One thing that was visible was the improvement that’s been shown recently by so called smaller nations like Luxembourg and Kazakhstan who both picked up big wins over the break in qualifying games. We also saw the Republic of Ireland only win one nil in Gibralter who previously had been Europe’s whipping boys.
Hoping this weeks Double can do the business for us.
Recommended Bet 20 point Double returns over 107 points at Bet Victor.
Wolves Away at Burnley 6/4
Tranmere Home vs Carlisle 23/20
This weeks Double focuses on two in form sides coming up against opposition who have been struggling as of late. In the Premier League I am backing Wolves slick, quick style to overcome a dogged Burnley team. Most of Wolves influential Portuguese contingent were on the bench for their national side midweek so will be fresh and raring to go. Wolves will be keen to get points here to cement 7th place in the league. This will give them the option of resting players for their midweek league game vs Man Utd before next weekends FA Cup Semi Final. Burnley have lost their last two home games to lesser opposition than Wolves in Crystal Palace and Leicester. I just feel at 6/4 Wolves have the quality to get the job done here.
Tranmere Rovers are the form side of League Two having won their last six games. On Saturday they face a Carlisle side with only one win in six games. Automatic promotion is not out of the question for the home side but need to keep winning. Carlisle are on the edge of the play off places but recent form all point to a home win here at generous odds of 23/20.

Football Tips Saturday 16th March
Last week it was two out of three in our treble and regardless of what Meatloaf said in his song in this case two out of three is bad!!! Crystal Palace look like a team not to trust, they win games they are not expected to and lose games like last week at home to Brighton. As a result of this we now have a season deficit of 370 points. Just a note that next weekends tips will only appear on Twitter @wellworthawager due to Holidays.

Preston Home vs Birmingham 21/20
Northampton Away at Grimsby 17/10
Preston come into this game after a midweek win at Middlesborough and are bang in with a chance of making the play offs. They have a great chance on Saturday to keep their recent good form going with a home game against out of form Birmingham City. Blues have had a poor week losing the local derby with Villa and incidents during the game may result in further punishment for the club. In midweek they lost at home to lowly Millwall and things aren’t looking good at the moment. I was expecting Preston to be odds on therefore at 21/20 they are a solid bet.
Northampton in League Two are on a great run of form, they are unbeaten in 7 games and still have the play offs in their sights. Opponents Grimsby are in 16th place realistically they are playing with nothing at stake as they won’t be going up or down. They have lost their last three league games including a heavy defeat at Tranmere in midweek. Northampton look value at 17/10.
Let’s hope this double will turn things around. More selections as ever will appear on Twitter @wellworthawager. Another reminder that is the place to get next weeks tips as this page on Bonusnetbets will not be updated.
Football Tips Saturday 9th March
Last weeks double yet again saw one selection winning comfortably and the other one letting us down. This weeks selection includes the Friday night game as I see a home treble I am confident of which will be lift the recent gloom. It’s a big weekend of games with Sunday having three cracking live TV games between Birmingham and Villa at midday followed by Chelsea vs Wolves at 2pm and then Arsenal vs Man Utd at 4.30pm. Check you kick off times this weekend as there seems to be game in the Football League kicking off at all sorts of bizarre times.

Friday 7.45pm Norwich Home vs Swansea 7/10
Saturday 12.30pm Crystal Palace Home vs Brighton 5/6
Saturday 3.00pm Barnsley Home vs Accrington Stanley 1/2
The treble begins with the Championship leaders and surprise package Norwich City who play Friday night at home to Swansea. The bookies still seem to under estimate Norwich as a side as I would expect the leaders versus the 13th placed side in the division to be shorter than odds of 7/10. Norwich play an entertaining fast attacking style of football and at this stage the title seems to be in their hands. Swansea have lost their last three away games in the division and really are in a mid table position with little to play for. I can only see a home win in this game. Crystal Palace entertain Brighton in the 12.30 lunchtime live game on Saturday. Palace have only lost one of their last five league games and have been scoring freely along the way. Meanwhile Brighton gained an unconvincing but crucial home victory last weekend at home to Huddersfield but their away form is poor. The 5/6 on the home win looks good value. League one title contenders Barnsley complete the treble at home vs Accrington Stanley who have fallen away in recent weeks after their good start to the season. Accrington are now in 14th position and haven’t won in four games whilst Barnsley know they can’t slip up at home in their pursuit of the title.
Good luck with this treble. More tips on Twitter @wellworthawager
Football Tips Saturday March 2nd
Last weekend was a good representation of the way our luck has been since Christmas. The recommended Double was looking good with ten minutes remaining with both our teams winning one nil but both looking dominant in their games. Cheltenham duly obliged seeing out their game comfortably but unfortunately Reading conceded late on against Rotherham. But there was still time for Reading to go up the other end and miss one of the biggest sitters I’ve seen this season!!! Another hard luck story as we are now 330 points in deficit on the season. I am desperate to make inroads into this and remain determined we will.
Lots of big games this weekend with a North London Derby on Saturday between Spurs and Arsenal followed on Sunday by the Merseyside Derby. In the Championship Leeds entertain West Brom on Friday night with both sides trying to turn round recent poor results in order to get the promotion challenges back on track.
Recommended Bet 20 point Double returns over 105 points with Corals.
Norwich City Away at Millwall 23/20
Grimsby Home vs Cambridge Utd 29/20
Norwich sit proudly at the top of the Championship, their style of fast attacking football has taken the divisions big hitters by surprise. They have found some real quality from lower divisions in Europe who are taking this division by storm. They are currently two points clear at the top and on Saturday travel to struggling Millwall. The hosts have only won one in six and last week were 3 nil down at half time at Home to Preston. Norwich’s Away form is stronger than their home form with only two Away defeats all season. They will have far too much in Attacking areas for Millwall to be able to contend with so the 23/20 looks a good price.
Grimsby find themselves in a comfortable mid table position in League Two with a play off push not totally out of the question. They are unbeaten in 5 games with 3 home victories included in this. Meanwhile Cambridge have not won in 5 matches and in danger of getting dragged into the League Two relegation battle. The form of these two suggest a home victory and 29/20 looks a good bet.
More selections will appear on Twitter @wellworthawager including our Both Teams to Score selections.
Good Luck over the weekend
Football Tips Saturday 23rd Feb 2019
Big weekend of Football coming up with Sunday the day for the first domestic trophy of the season with Man City taking on Chelsea in the Caribao Cup Final. All the form points to a city win after their 6 nil demolishing of their opponents in the league a couple of weeks ago. But Football is a strange game and after the criticism Chelsea and their manager have been receiving then it wouldn’t surprise you if they went and won on Sunday. Finals tend to be good spectacles but risky betting propositions. Sunday also sees a massive game in the Premier League with Liverpool travelling to a rejuvenated Manchester United. The 2/1 on offer on a home United win looks the Value bet.
This weeks official tip is on Saturday concentrating on two teams with good home form against two sides who struggle on the road.
Recommended Bet 20 points Double best priced William Hill returns over 113 points.
Reading Home vs Rotherham 11/10
Cheltenham Home vs Port Vale 17/10
An improved Reading side under new management face Rotherham this Saturday. Reading despite defeat at Sheffield United last weekend have only lost one of their last five games. They defeated Blackburn in their last home game and drew with Aston Villa previous to that. Meanwhile Rotherham have not won away from home this season, lost ten drawn six. Therefore the odds against the home side appears a good value bet.
In League Two Cheltenham entertain Port Vale. Cheltenham are just about keeping themselves clear of the relegation zone with their visitors just below them. Cheltenham have won their last three home games against Cambridge, Yeovil and Macclesfield. Port Vale are on the back of three successive defeats so the form table favours the home side at a good price.
