Football Tips Saturday 16th March
Last week it was two out of three in our treble and regardless of what Meatloaf said in his song in this case two out of three is bad!!! Crystal Palace look like a team not to trust, they win games they are not expected to and lose games like last week at home to Brighton. As a result of this we now have a season deficit of 370 points. Just a note that next weekends tips will only appear on Twitter @wellworthawager due to Holidays.

Preston Home vs Birmingham 21/20
Northampton Away at Grimsby 17/10
Preston come into this game after a midweek win at Middlesborough and are bang in with a chance of making the play offs. They have a great chance on Saturday to keep their recent good form going with a home game against out of form Birmingham City. Blues have had a poor week losing the local derby with Villa and incidents during the game may result in further punishment for the club. In midweek they lost at home to lowly Millwall and things aren’t looking good at the moment. I was expecting Preston to be odds on therefore at 21/20 they are a solid bet.
Northampton in League Two are on a great run of form, they are unbeaten in 7 games and still have the play offs in their sights. Opponents Grimsby are in 16th place realistically they are playing with nothing at stake as they won’t be going up or down. They have lost their last three league games including a heavy defeat at Tranmere in midweek. Northampton look value at 17/10.
Let’s hope this double will turn things around. More selections as ever will appear on Twitter @wellworthawager. Another reminder that is the place to get next weeks tips as this page on Bonusnetbets will not be updated.

Last weeks double yet again saw one selection winning comfortably and the other one letting us down. This weeks selection includes the Friday night game as I see a home treble I am confident of which will be lift the recent gloom. It’s a big weekend of games with Sunday having three cracking live TV games between Birmingham and Villa at midday followed by Chelsea vs Wolves at 2pm and then Arsenal vs Man Utd at 4.30pm. Check you kick off times this weekend as there seems to be game in the Football League kicking off at all sorts of bizarre times.

Friday 7.45pm Norwich Home vs Swansea 7/10
Saturday 12.30pm Crystal Palace Home vs Brighton 5/6
Saturday 3.00pm Barnsley Home vs Accrington Stanley 1/2
The treble begins with the Championship leaders and surprise package Norwich City who play Friday night at home to Swansea. The bookies still seem to under estimate Norwich as a side as I would expect the leaders versus the 13th placed side in the division to be shorter than odds of 7/10. Norwich play an entertaining fast attacking style of football and at this stage the title seems to be in their hands. Swansea have lost their last three away games in the division and really are in a mid table position with little to play for. I can only see a home win in this game. Crystal Palace entertain Brighton in the 12.30 lunchtime live game on Saturday. Palace have only lost one of their last five league games and have been scoring freely along the way. Meanwhile Brighton gained an unconvincing but crucial home victory last weekend at home to Huddersfield but their away form is poor. The 5/6 on the home win looks good value. League one title contenders Barnsley complete the treble at home vs Accrington Stanley who have fallen away in recent weeks after their good start to the season. Accrington are now in 14th position and haven’t won in four games whilst Barnsley know they can’t slip up at home in their pursuit of the title.
Good luck with this treble. More tips on Twitter @wellworthawager
Football Tips Saturday March 2nd
Last weekend was a good representation of the way our luck has been since Christmas. The recommended Double was looking good with ten minutes remaining with both our teams winning one nil but both looking dominant in their games. Cheltenham duly obliged seeing out their game comfortably but unfortunately Reading conceded late on against Rotherham. But there was still time for Reading to go up the other end and miss one of the biggest sitters I’ve seen this season!!! Another hard luck story as we are now 330 points in deficit on the season. I am desperate to make inroads into this and remain determined we will.
Lots of big games this weekend with a North London Derby on Saturday between Spurs and Arsenal followed on Sunday by the Merseyside Derby. In the Championship Leeds entertain West Brom on Friday night with both sides trying to turn round recent poor results in order to get the promotion challenges back on track.
Recommended Bet 20 point Double returns over 105 points with Corals.
Norwich City Away at Millwall 23/20
Grimsby Home vs Cambridge Utd 29/20
Norwich sit proudly at the top of the Championship, their style of fast attacking football has taken the divisions big hitters by surprise. They have found some real quality from lower divisions in Europe who are taking this division by storm. They are currently two points clear at the top and on Saturday travel to struggling Millwall. The hosts have only won one in six and last week were 3 nil down at half time at Home to Preston. Norwich’s Away form is stronger than their home form with only two Away defeats all season. They will have far too much in Attacking areas for Millwall to be able to contend with so the 23/20 looks a good price.
Grimsby find themselves in a comfortable mid table position in League Two with a play off push not totally out of the question. They are unbeaten in 5 games with 3 home victories included in this. Meanwhile Cambridge have not won in 5 matches and in danger of getting dragged into the League Two relegation battle. The form of these two suggest a home victory and 29/20 looks a good bet.

Football Tips Saturday 23rd Feb 2019
Big weekend of Football coming up with Sunday the day for the first domestic trophy of the season with Man City taking on Chelsea in the Caribao Cup Final. All the form points to a city win after their 6 nil demolishing of their opponents in the league a couple of weeks ago. But Football is a strange game and after the criticism Chelsea and their manager have been receiving then it wouldn’t surprise you if they went and won on Sunday. Finals tend to be good spectacles but risky betting propositions. Sunday also sees a massive game in the Premier League with Liverpool travelling to a rejuvenated Manchester United. The 2/1 on offer on a home United win looks the Value bet.
This weeks official tip is on Saturday concentrating on two teams with good home form against two sides who struggle on the road.
Recommended Bet 20 points Double best priced William Hill returns over 113 points.
Reading Home vs Rotherham 11/10
Cheltenham Home vs Port Vale 17/10
An improved Reading side under new management face Rotherham this Saturday. Reading despite defeat at Sheffield United last weekend have only lost one of their last five games. They defeated Blackburn in their last home game and drew with Aston Villa previous to that. Meanwhile Rotherham have not won away from home this season, lost ten drawn six. Therefore the odds against the home side appears a good value bet.
In League Two Cheltenham entertain Port Vale. Cheltenham are just about keeping themselves clear of the relegation zone with their visitors just below them. Cheltenham have won their last three home games against Cambridge, Yeovil and Macclesfield. Port Vale are on the back of three successive defeats so the form table favours the home side at a good price.

Football Tips Friday 15th and Saturday 16th February
I’ll start with the bad news of last weekend where part of out double Colchester romped to victory. Unfortunately the other half Sheffield Wednesday got involved in a turgid battle at Ipswich and despite having all the best chance and stats could only come away with a goalless draw. This takes to a deficit of 284 points and this needs to change. This week there is a near full programme of lower league fixtures but the FA Cup takes centre stage. From this blog you will know I am very wary of the FA Cup when it comes to betting due to teams resting players etc. The importance of staying in the Premier League is the priority for many clubs and as you will see from my selections I hope to use this to our advantage.
The game that does fascinate me is to see how Man City’s megastars cope on the mud at Rodney Parade Newport against an uncompromising home team. I am sure Newport’s direct style will be something City won’t be used to but the Premier League side should have far too much attacking talent. This game could produce one of this strange scores like a 6-2 to Man City.

Friday 7.45 10 points QPR beat Watford 4/1 returns 50 points Saturday 12.30 10 points Derby Win at Brighton 7/2 returns 45 points
5 point Double pays over 112 points.
I am backing two Championship sides to beat their Premier League opposition this weekend. Firstly note the start times Friday night and Saturday lunchtime. Qpr host Watford at a raucous Loftus Road on Friday. This is one of those grounds which at night under lights can really help the home side with the partisan home crowd behind them. Watford should be taking the FA Cup seriously but their team selection in previous rounds has been interesting with the emphasis on squad players. QPR will be direct and not let their higher ranked opponents settle. The 4/1 on QPR at home looks a decent bet. Saturday lunchtime sees Derby travel to Brighton. From the outside it looks like Brighton have been trying hard to get knocked out in the previous rounds by their selections but they have been up against sides doing similar. This time they face a Derby side who have already this season been giant killers in the domestic cups. Derby are the sort of side who will take the competition seriously and could go deep into the tournament. 7/2 is a good bet on what could be an even match up. I have also suggested a small doubt on QPR and Derby.

Last weeks double saw Luton Win impressively but Charlton despite dominating their game at Fleetwood conceded late and ultimately were defeated. Fortunately those who follow the Twitter link @wellworthawager there were a couple of winners on there. The seasons profit or lack of is now 259 points down but there is still time to turn this around. A full fixture list this weekend with plenty of interesting match ups with Man City entertaining Chelsea on Sunday, must be long time since Chelsea were as big as 9/2 to win a Premier League game. This weeks selection is a Double from the Championship and League One.

Sheffield Wednesday Home vs Reading 21/20 Colchester Home vs Cheltenham 5/6
Sheffield Wednesday under new manager Steve Bruce dominated last weeks game at Ipswich and scored late to gain the win their performance deserved. This weeks sees his first home game as manager as they entertain lowly Reading In their last league home game they defeated Wigan who are certainly a better side than this weeks visitors. Reading are also under new management but are in a transition with many changes in playing personnel. Therefore I think the 21/20 is a good price for the home win.
Colchester currently stand in 8th place in League two on the fringes of the promotion play offs. They have fallen away since Christmas and have become inconsistent. I am hopeful last weeks 4 nil win at Northampton will set them back on the right track, scoring is not a problem but they have been conceding to. This week they entertain a Cheltenham side who best results tend to come at home and they are not so good on their travels. Cheltenham also had a tough game with Yeovil in the week and their squad is not the biggest so I am hoping Colchester will be the freshest of these two sides.
Good Luck on all your weekend Football bets. Check out Twitter for all my Both Teams to Score bets.
Football Tips Saturday 2nd Feb
Back to League action this week after the unpredictability of the FA Cup where we saw the likes of Millwall, AFC Wimbledon and Crystal Palace causing upsets. With others such as Barnet and Shrewsbury earning replays against higher ranked opposition. Last weeks double at one stage looked good but things started to go against us like a missed penalty. So we therefore now stand at 239 points down on the season. I say it most weeks but it’s only two wins to break even and I am convinced this will turn for the better. It’s one of those weeks this week where I have a few fancies and have found it difficult getting it down to a double. Therefore I want to mention the Even money on offer at Bet 365 on Norwich City winning or drawing their top of the table clash at Leeds. This promises to be an attractive game and difficult to call but I believe Norwich will get something from this game. Other sides I like are Sheffield Wednesday Away at Ipswich at 13/8, Coventry at home to Gillingham at 5/6 and Wolves Away at Everton at 11/5.
This weeks selection comes from League One;
Recommended Bet 20 points Double best priced Corals returns 117 points
Charlton Away at Fleetwood 8/5
Luton Away at Shrewsbury 5/4
Charlton were included in last weeks selection and a missed penalty cost victory at Peterborough. This week they travel to Fleetwood. The Away team are unbeaten in 5 games and remain in 4th place eyeing up automatic promotion. Their opponents this week Fleetwood are an inconsistent outfit, they have won one in six games. Recently they have lost home league games to lowly Scunthorpe and AFC Wimbledon. Therefore this gives me a strong belief that Charlton will be too strong for the home team. Luton Town despite being managerless are flying at the moment as they sit top of League One. They have won their last three games, scoring plenty of goals along the way. Opponents Shrewsbury are in a relegation fight and were beaten by 3 by Charlton in their last league home game. They also have a midweek Cup replay coming up at Wolves so there is a chance their focus could be wandering.
As usual the Both Teams to Score bets will appear on Twitter @wellworthawager.
Football Tips Saturday 26th January
This weekend the FA Cup 4th round is upon us. With the results of the last round then nothing is certain so I recommend as a betting option it is not something you want to be getting involved in. The only bet I would look at is a Both Teams to a Score bet as I think Teams will not want replays so it may lead to a more open 90 minutes. Last weeks Double was about as far as away as I’ve ever been with both selections well beaten therefore the bad run continues as we are now 219 points down on the season. Let’s hope this is the week where things begin to turn in our favour. Despite the FA Cup there is still a good programme of League fixtures in England to consider for betting possibilities. I have found a double that I fancy at a good price.

Norwich City Home vs Sheffield United 7/5 Charlton Athletic Away at Peterborough 15/8
The most entertaining side in the Championship Norwich City begin our double against Sheffield United. 2nd vs 3rd but Norwich have a good record at home and Sheffield have lost 5 games on their travels including last time out at Swansea. Norwich play a fast free flowing attacking game and create numerous chances. Sheffield likewise play attacking football, this could be a high scoring affair but think the 7/5 on the home win is good value. In League one Charlton Athletic have climbed to 4th in the table and visit a Peterborough side whose recent form has been poor. They also don’t have great home form having only won one of their last four at home. Charlton on their last away day won 3 nil at Shrewsbury anything similar to that level of performance should be good enough on Saturday. Once again 15/8 looks a value bet.
As ever Both teams to Score bets will appear on Twitter @wellworthawager.
Football Tips Saturday 19th January
Last week saw Hull Win easily at home at decent odds of 21/20 and in hindsight wish I’d have backed them as a single. Swansea could only manage a draw at Preston so the double was incomplete. That takes the season total to a deficit of 199 points but it’s only two winning weeks to be back on an even keel. A full Premier League and Championship schedule this weekend before next weeks distraction of the FA Cup again. The Premier League looks a difficult betting proposition this week as a lot of short price favourites who should win but no value in the prices. The Championship has a lot of games that look too tight to call so perhaps that could be a league full of draws this weekend. My Double comes from League one:

Bradford Home vs Southend 11/8
Portsmouth Away at Oxford Utd 5/4
Bradford are an improved side recentlyand last weeks blip at Barnsley who are very strong at home can be ignored. Before that Bradford have won their last three home games with 9 goals without reply along the way. That’s gives me enough to think they can beat an inconsistent Southend side on Saturday. Southend lost at home last week to strugglers Plymouth and their away form is poor. They concede goals and Bradford may continue their goal scoring spree at home. The second part of the Double is Portsmouth to win away at Oxford. Last time out Portsmouth were flat losing at home to Blackpool but I think we will see a positive response here. It was only two weeks ago they won at big flying Championship side Norwich in the FA Cup. They travel to an Oxford side who have only won one in six games and lost recent home games against Southend and Bristol Rovers. On that basis Portsmouth should be too strong for them.
As ever Both Teams to Score bets will appear on Twitter @wellworthawager.
Football Tips Saturday 12th January
It’s good to have a full league programme this weekend after the ups and downs of the FA Cup. It is a gambling minefield highlighted by last Sundays 1430/1 treble of Oldham 10/1 at Fulham, Barnet 12/1 at Sheffield United and Newport 9/1 at home to Leicester. All successful but I doubt there’s many punters cashing in their pound betting slip for £1,431 on Monday!!! As predicted a lot of sides in the Premier League and the Championship took it as a chance to rest key players and it cost some their place in this seasons competition. Why mid table sides like Leicester are putting out under strength sides is beyond me as they will not have issues at either end of the table to deal with. This is the sort of profile of club who could go well in the FA Cup. I fancy Wolves to have a good run and wish I’d have backed them for the competition before they beat Liverpool.
As has been the recent trend we had no success last weekend so hopefully this weeks double will improve the seasons deficit of 179 points. This weeks selections come from the Championship, whilst just the one double here there will be more as usual on Twitter @wellworthawager
Recommended Bet 20 point Double best prices William Hill returns 123 points.
Hull City Home vs Sheffield Wednesday 21/20 Swansea City Away at Preston 2/1
Hull City are the inform team of the division they are unbeaten in 8 league games and that includes wins against the likes of Leeds, Swansea and a 6 nil home demolition job of Bolton last time out. It is true their opponents Sheffield Wednesday have improved also under the caretaker manager Lee Bullen as they wait for Steve Bruce’s arrival as their new boss. Wednesday still don’t score a lot of goals and have tended to be drawing tight games rather than winning convincingly. Therefore I think the 21/20 on a Hull Win is value.
Swansea are also showing improved form and the play offs are a realistic aim but need to keep winning games. They had a confidence boosting away Cup win at Aston Villa after scoring 4 at Reading in the league the week before. Meanwhile Preston are in a slump currently. They have not won in 5 games in all competitions and this includes a cup defeat last time out against lower division opposition. Injuries are also taking at toll on their squad and believe Swansea are over priced at 2/1 on Saturday.
